The free, open-air street party returns on Friday, August 3rd!

Grannan Lane and sections of Canterbury Street will be closed beginning at 5:00pm on Friday, August 3rd with music starting at 7:00pm through until midnight. The kick-off concert will feature a warm-up set by one artist from the AREA 506 lineup.

The street party is open to the public and provides an opportunity for attendees to buy their AREA 506 passes and merchandise on site.

“As the festival continues to grow, we wanted to build on the momentum and extend the party to include Friday and Monday events” says Ray Gracewood, chairperson for AREA 506. “These events allow us to show more of the Uptown to those that are visiting Saint John. It’s a great way to get other businesses involved, and hopefully extend the AREA 506 energy beyond the concert site”.

This year’s E2L Jam is made possible by the incredible support of Five & Dime, Churchill’s Bar & Pub, and Port City Royal.

“AREA 506 has become the best party in the Province on New Brunswick Day weekend” stated Jody Kliffer, co-owner of the Five & Dime. “We wanted to bring that party to the streets of the South End, hence the postal code. It’s a fun addition to the weekend’s festivities, and was well attended last year”.
