Festival FAQs
We’ll be popping up beside the AREA 506 Waterfront Container Village, in the same location as the AREA 506 Festival — Pugsley Terminal. You’ll enter through the Container Village at 85 Water St.
You can see the full lineup right at the top of the page!
We don’t have a physical Box Office, so you’ll want to order your tickets online. We’ve got a limited number of Early Bird passes on sale NOW.
Yes! This experience is open to anyone, and those 12 and under can even attend for FREE as long as they’re with their grown-up!
There’s no advance registration required for Youth tickets, just bring them + their ID to the gate with you and and we will arrange for their wristband when you arrive.
One Youth wristband will be provided per ticketed adult.
Yes! The site is recently paved and relatively flat to help with getting around, and we do our best to create space for anyone with mobility challenges. If you have specific questions, email hidden; JavaScript is required.
Doors will open daily at 2:00 PM and the first bands will start shortly after. There will be free/family-friendly activities in the Waterfront Container Village beforehand and that opens at 11:00 AM.
We do not currently have an in-person option for purchasing tickets. All tickets will be sold online. You can use cash on-site to purchase merch, to get tokens for the bar, and at most of the vendors.
Sorry, no chairs. We have some seating options available around the concert site, but you’ll want to leave any folding/portable/camp chairs at home.
If you need to take a break from the action, you can also visit the Waterfront Container Village where you’ll find additional seating (and you should check out the view from the top level of the deck!)
We love volunteers! If you register in our volunteer portal, we’ll send you some more info.
It’s a rain or shine event. As they say — the show must go on. It’s one of the main reasons we get a tent! As long as it’s safe, we’ll be here.
PRO TIP: get one of those fold-up ponchos and you’ll be ready for anything. Real pros know that you get a clear one so everyone can still see your ‘fit. No umbrellas, though — they block the view of the people behind you, and those things are at PRIME eye-poking height.
Yes, you can re-enter with your ticket and wristband.
Well-behaved pets on their best behaviour are welcome in the Waterfront Container Village (when on a leash) but unfortunately, we don’t allow entry to your furry/fluffy/scaly friends in the licensed, ticketed area.
We allow phone cameras and point-and-shoot cameras, but cameras with detachable lenses won’t be permitted through the gates unless approved for media access.
If you’re looking to apply for a media or photography pass, leave your info here.
Love that you’re thinking ahead! There are lots of places to stay in Saint John! Our first suggestion is always with our friends at the Delta Hotels by Marriott Saint John, but there are lots of other options – try the hotel locator tool by Discover Saint John here.
You can bring a purse or a small backpack — security will check it at the gate. You should bring a sweater, the waterfront can get chilly at night, even in July. We already mentioned the poncho, and you should also bring sunscreen.
You can bring one (sealed) bottle of water with you past the gates and you can bring your (empty) refillable water bottle to use at the Culligan Water Fill Station.
Things you’ll want to leave at home: folding chairs, umbrellas, pets, and bad vibes.
Now you’re paying attention! We’re making a limited number of Early Bird weekend passes available — they’re Weekend Passes specially priced for early supporters. They’re available for a limited time/while supplies last.
If you have a question that’s not answered here, email hidden; JavaScript is required — you’re probably not the only one wondering.
